High Energy Oil Pans are by far the best oil pans on the market. They use 1.6mm thick steel in all their pans to avoid any chance of stress failure, unlike some of the budget oil pans. Their integral windage tray and scraper are among the most important features of a high performance oil pan and the High Energy design helps increase engine horsepower by reducing the friction caused by oil drag on the crankshaft.

Most standard oil pans work well on standard engines, but the moment you start to use a standard car in a high performance situation you risk serious engine damage. An example could be that you increase the engine horsepower significantly and the increased acceleration could cause the engine oil to run away from the oil pick-up, or you could take your car to a track day and fit some sticky street tires. The increased G-Forces could again cause oil surge.
